Recreating In Marquetry

After deciding on my final piece being a washing line, I felt it was important to experiment with recreating fabric and clothing details in marquetry as this could potentially show a wide variety of skill.

This is the range of items that I decided to draw templates for.

For the fabric, it was more appropriate to use a photocopy as the template. Unfortunately the detail in the design was to faint to show up, this was resolved by creating an outline.

 For a realistic washing line, there is the possibility of clothing being labelled. I researched the logos of various designer and sporting brands and chose to recreate some of the most recognisable.
